This toilet paper roll fox post is sponsored by Netflix as a member of their #StreamTeam.
All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Zootopia, one of our favorite children’s movie is coming to Netflix September 20th! I can not wait to watch it, and have a family movie night. I wanted to make a simple craft with Dustyn to celebrate the release. Since one of the main characters is a fox, named Nick Wilde, I decided to make a toilet paper roll fox. I love reusing stuff that would normally get thrown away.
Toilet Paper Roll Fox Tutorial
Supplies:
- Toilet Paper Roll
- Orange Paper
- White Paper
- Glue
- Scissors
- Black Marker
- Clothespins
Lay out the orange paper and place the toilet paper roll on top of it so you see how wide you need to cut your strip of paper. Once your strip is cut wrap it around the toilet paper roll and cut off the extra. You will use this for the tail.
Spread your glue out on the paper and wrap it around the toilet paper roll.
Use the clothespins to hold the paper in place while it dries.
While you are waiting for that to dry cut out the tail from the extra orange paper.
Then cut a little piece from the white paper. Use the edge of the tail as a template for the white.
Once you have a little triangle you can cut out on the other end to make it look like fur. Then glue it on the tail.
Cut out a heart shape from the white paper and take a black marker to draw eyes and a snout on the face.
Once your toilet paper roll is dry fold both sides inwards of the top. This makes great ears for the fox.
Glue on the tail and the face.
All done. A super simple craft that your kids will enjoy making.
Have you seen Zootopia yet?
You won’t have to wait too much longer to watch it on Netflix. Also keep your eyes peeled on Netflix there may be some other amazing Disney titles coming soon!
