When I start planning a photography trip, I think about where I want to go along with what kind of photos I want to take. I love nature and landscape photography. The beach or the mountains would be wonderful destinations.
Tips For Travel Photography
- Research travel destinations. Figure out what you want to photograph; mountains, beaches, cityscapes.
- Bring the right equipment. You need a good camera, lenses, batteries, tripod, camera manual and plenty of memory cards.
- Pay attention to what is in your view. Are you following the rule of thirds, do you see any leading lines?
- Get creative. You don’t always have to follow the rules. Feel free to add your own flare to the photos.

Where would you go if you had a free ticket to anywhere in the US? For my trip, I would want to fly to Washington state, I have never been to the west coast and I think it would be so beautiful to photograph. Plus, my best friend lives there and I have been wanting to visit her.
