Recipe 20/52 for my 30 before 30 list. I am making and blogging about one new recipe a week. I remember as a kid my parents were good at celebrating the big milestones along with the mini ones. Now that I have kids I try to do the same for them. Dustyn recently lost his first tooth, so of course we have to celebrate that mini milestone. Dustyn is a huge fan of pretzels, chocolate, and sprinkles. Therefore, I decided to make these fun Monster Chocolate Covered Pretzels.
Monster Chocolate Covered Pretzels
By Sarah Halstead
Ingredients
- Pretzel Rods
- Almond Bark
- Colored Sugar Sprinkles
- Edible Eyes
Instructions
- In a microwave safe bowl, microwave the almond bark for 30 seconds at a time, stirring each time, until completely melted.
- Once it is completely melted, dip each pretzel rod into the chocolate and twist around until it is covered.
- Lay down on parchment paper to cool.
- While the almond bark is still warm and wet, add the eyes, then add the sprinkles.
Dustyn was really excited when he got home from school and I said I had a surprise treat for him. He thought the Monster Chocolate Covered Pretzels were awesome.
