Hi everyone, Kenny here (Sarah’s husband for those who don’t know) I am filling in for Sarah while she is out enjoying herself at Blissdom. Sarah was contacted by the folks at Mobile Fun to do a review and she decided to pick up a Jabra EasyGo Bluetooth earpiece for me. Once she worked out the details with Matt who is actually in the UK he had the Jabra on its way across the “pond”. I was rather surprised it got here as quick as it did I have ordered a few things from overseas and the sellers have always been slow to ship out this was not the case with Mobile Fun.
I was very excited when Sarah let me know the package arrived. When I got home I opened the box and ripped everything out then Sarah reminded me about pictures. OOPS sorry, these are stock photos. The first thing I noticed was the funny-looking wall plug, I guess being very sheltered I always assume that USA standards are everywhere but that was no big deal it uses the same charger as my phone and just about any other Android device. I mentioned before it shipped from overseas but forgot to say the Mobile Fun ships out of the USA so this wouldn’t be an issue for anyone buying from them they also have several worldwide sites www.mobilefun.co.uk www.
Jabra EasyGo from Mobile Fun
The Jabra EasyGo is a lot smaller than I was used to. My old Bluetooth earpiece comes from the stone age and is about 3x the size. Smaller isn’t always better though. I am a big guy and have big ears so I found right away that the over-ear clip was not for me. The nice thing about the EasyGo is they send it with 2 different over-ear mounts and 3 earbuds one is a standard round and the other 2 are designed for left or right ear use without the over-ear part. I have tried several setups and found that the larger over-ear and the right earbud work best together for me. I don’t like having anything stuck in my ear using the left or right earbud it sits there without being actually stuck in the ear and will stay without the over-ear mount. But once again my big ears got me because without the over-ear hoop it will fall out of my ear. I am sure that with smaller (AKA normal) ears this would be a non-issue.
The EasyGo paired easily with my phone and it was a pleasant surprise to find out it would play phone audio not just phone calls so I can listen to music with it. Back in the 1600’s when my old Bluetooth was crafted out of stone that was not a feature. I have had issues though where I can get phone call audio but the other audio will quit working. I think that is actually an issue with my phone though because a quick reboot of the phone brings it back to life. I have also had a few occasions while in a call I could hear the other person fine but they couldn’t hear me until I hung up and called back. Other than those small issues the EasyGo works well it has great battery life and will let you know both with a flashing red light and an audible tone “battery low” when you have less than 30 minutes of talk time.
The selection of items at Mobile Fun is amazing and the prices are great. They even have Blackberry Z10 Accessories. If you are looking for anything for your phone or tablet or anything mobile check them out first.
