Christmas and New Years Eve will be here before we know it, so I wanted to share a few of my new favorite Holiday party recipes. These are so easy and delicious! They would make the perfect appetizers at your next Holiday dinner party. I made both of these recipes using Original Tabasco, but they also have Chipotle and Jalepeno Tabasco.

First we have the Slow Cooker Spicy Queso Dip. This is amazing and will warm you up for sure! You can really control how spicy you want it by adding more or less Tabasco.

Ingredients

  • 16 oz. hot sausage
  • 16 oz. block of cheese
  • 8 oz. block of cream cheese
  • 1 pint half & half
  • 1 15-oz can chili starter, no beans
  • 2 tablespoons Tabasco Original Red Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • tortilla chips
  • 24 tater tots, partially defrosted
  • 12 strips of bacon, cut in half
  • 24 small chunks of cheddar cheese
  • Tabasco Original Red Sauce
  • toothpicks

Instructions

  1. Cook the sausage.
  2. While that is cooking cut the blocks of cheese into cubes.
  3. Add all ingredients (except for the chips) to slow cooker.
  4. Cover and cook on high for 1 hour.
  5. Stir until everything comes together.
  6. Cook on low for 30 minutes to 1 hour or until ready to serve.
  7. Serve with tortilla chips.
  8. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
  9. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or spray with nonstick spray.
  10. Lay a piece of bacon on a flat surface.
  11. Put a tater tot on top. Using a sharp knife, cut a slit down the center of the tater tot.
  12. Place a piece of cheese into the slit.
  13. Add a dash or two of Tabasco on top.
  14. Wrap the bacon tightly around the tater tot and secure with a toothpick.
  15. Bake 20 minutes, or until they appear to be cooked through and the bacon is crispy.
  16. Serve immediately.
