Sadly I have to admit since adding Prestyn to our lives we have eaten fast food, frozen food, or processed food more times than we can count. I can’t remember the last time I fixed a whole meal from scratch. Thankfully there is a great service called Hello Fresh that changed that for us this past week.
I had so much fun seeing all the bright and colorful vegetables, it had been way too long.
All the spices come in little brown bags, premeasured, with each meal. That way you know you are getting fresh spices, and you won’t have to rush to the store because you don’t have a certain spice.
We had three home cooked meals and I didn’t even have to drag my boys to the store. That is a win/win in my book.
This particular recipe was from Jamie Oliver. It is called Jamie’s Mega Mushroom & Lentil Curry with Tomato, Cilantro & Lemony Rice. It was not my favorite since I am not a big mushroom fan, but I did enjoy the rice.
My favorite meal was the Crispy Chicken Parmigiana Salad. Amazing! Everything was so fresh and this one was super easy to make.
Kenny’s favorite was the Korean-Style Beef Stir Fry. He had it for leftovers and said it was even better the next day.
I love that Hello Fresh does everything for you. They make the recipes, gather the ingredients and ship it straight to your door for free. They offer a flexible subscription so if you need to pause your subscription you can do that, as long as you pause before midnight on the Wednesday before the following week’s delivery or Monday before delivery same week (Saturday).
