Have you heard of Flashback Actions? Deanne is the creator of the actions. She is also a photographer. I recently was able to try out some of their actions. I have to say I really love the feel of the actions. They are simple, yet add a lot to a photo. I have been using them on most of the photos posted on my blog lately. I really like using Cold As Ice from The Standards. Especially on indoor photos that were too warm to begin with.
This photo was taken when I second shot a wedding for Melissa Bliss Photography. For this image I cropped it in a little closer. Then I used Plain+Simple along with Tea for One. They are both from the flashbacks collection.
Here is the after photo bigger. You can see it really did a great job with their skin tone. I didn’t do any other edits to this image.
I used the Black Cherry from the Black and Whites. I think this is a perfect black and white action. Not too plain, but not too over the top. It really worked well for this photo.
They offer three different sets of flashback actions: The Standards, The Black & Whites, The Flashbacks. You can use a mix of them all to really create a look just for you. I love that everything can be customized to get the look you are going for.
