I was supposed to do this a few weeks ago, but it has been so busy around here. Between Dustyn turning 15 and planning Annelyn’s 5th birthday party. Without further ado here is my February Reading Wrap Up. I only read 12 books in February compared to the 20 in January.
February Reading Wrap Up
Set on You – Amy Lea
This is the first book in the influencer series. I loved that this book was based on a curvy influencer. The banter between Crystal and Scotty was adorable and sweet.
Exes & O’s – Amy Lea
This is the second book in the influencer series. It followed Crystal’s sister Mel who is a bookstagrammer. I think I liked this book even more than the first one.
Things We Never Got Over – Lucy Score
I have heard about this book from soooo many people. I finally read it and loved it so much. 5 stars for sure. Things We Never Got Over was the first book in the Knockemout series. I ended up buying this book from our local used bookstore, but it is available on Kindle unlimited.
99 Percent Mine – Sally Thorne
I only gave this book 3 stars. I thought I would like it because I loved The Hating Game by her but I just couldn’t get into it. The arguments between Darcy and her brother, Jamie, were just too much. I listened to it on Scribd, so I’m not sure if that made it worse of not.
My Phony Valentine – Courtney Walsh
Oh, my was this cute and funny. Poppy started fake dating Dallas a hockey player. This was my first hockey romance, and it won’t be my last. She has two sisters, so I think there will be more in this series.
Ugly Love – Colleen Hoover
A lot of people love this book, I enjoyed it, but it was not my favorite. I would say like 3.5 stars. I went through sooo many emotions while reading this. Lots of tears and frustrations.
Secretly Yours – Tessa Bailey
A second chance romance of Hallie and Julian, based in the Napa Valley. I did feel like it was a little rushed, but still a cute book. There will be a second one about Julian’s sister, Natalie, called Unfortunately Yours that comes out in June.
Bittersweet Melody – Kate Stewart
This was a novella/extended epilogue to the Bittersweet Symphony Duet. I loved the two books in that series, but I felt like there was a lot of whining and miscommunication in this novella. Easton was really mean to Natalie, but the other characters were there and made it a little better.
The Housemaid’s Secret – Freida McFadden
I finished this in one day. It was the second book to The Housemaid. Millie is a Housemaid who helps people in need of saving. This is a domestic thriller and so good. I can’t wait to read more from Freida.
Things We Hide from the Light – Lucy Score
Another book from the Knockemout Series. This one is about Nash Morgan, Knox’s brother, and Lina. Another 5 stars from me. I really enjoy Lucy Score books because they have romance and a little mystery. There will be a third in this series called Things We Left Behind between Lucian and Sloane. It comes out in September, and I cannot wait.
The Dead Romantics – Ashley Poston
Such a cute and feel-good read. This is a paranormal romance and I laughed and cried throughout. I loved Florence mentioned their cat named Salem that got hit by a car, because I read it right after our cat Salem got hit by a car. Thankfully he lived, just had a broken pelvis and had to rest for 4 weeks. it has been about 5 weeks now and he is finally able to jump better.
The Perfect Marriage – Jeneva Rose
Okay, this one was crazy, so many twists and turns. Everyone seemed shady so it was hard to figure out what was going on. I did kind of guess the gist at the beginning but i didn’t know all the semantics. That ending though…. I listened to it a couple times.
Hope you enjoyed my February Reading Wrap Up. March will be posted soon along with April’s book templates.
