I don’t know about you, but I love driving a minivan. We bought a minivan even before we knew Carsyn would need so many different pieces of huge equipment. Nowadays it is a must have. We have looked at a few SUVs but they don’t have near enough room, or if they do they are the size of a bus and get horrible gas mileage. When I was a teenager I always told myself I would never drive a minivan, but as soon as I drove one I was sold! There is always plenty of room for everything and it drives smooth as butter.
Lately I have been in the market for a new van and have been checking out the 2014 Kia Sedona.
Driving a Minivan | Requirements for my Family:
DVD Player – Keeps the kids entertained for our weekly trips up to Virginia, and the random trips we make to Raleigh for Carsyn’s doctor appointments.
Leather Seats – Not only is it comfortable, but it make cleaning up spills a breeze.
Cup Holders – There needs to be a lot of cup holders to hold all of our drinks.
Back Up Camera – I really believe this is a must! Keeps things around me safe as I am backing up…
Automatic Doors – Really makes all the difference. Van doors are heavy so it is nice being able to just hit a button and the door opens for you.
I know, I know, I am asking a lot from a van. That is a big shoe to fill but I think the Kia Sedona can do it. A brand new one with every option under the sun comes in under $40,000. You get a vehicle with every option you would ever need, great gas mileage, and a very reasonable price. To me it makes driving a minivan that much cooler. I am not sure I will ever drive an SUV, I am a proud minivan driving mom!
