I can not believe it but it is almost time for the boys to go back to school. I decided to throw a dinosaur party before the Summer was over. It turned out really cute, with awesome food using the Kraft Dips. The children had so much fun and loved it!
Dinosaur Party Decorations
The backdrop is actually two curtains. I thought the colors went well with the theme. For the banner I cut it out of green card stock, then cut the dinosaurs and letters out of orange card stock. I doubled up the tape to make it more 3-d looking.
The files for the banner can be downloaded together in a ZIP file. You have the option to use the silhouette design if you own a silhouette or use the jpg, print and cut yourself.
Dinosaur Party Favors
I made dinosaur crayons to give out to all of the kids. I put the crayons in little boxes with some green grass. They work really well with the back to school theme, but would be great as favors for a dinosaur birthday party. Check out my post for a tutorial on how to make DIY Shaped Crayons. My other party favor was “dino repellent”, since every kid loves bubbles!
Dinosaur Party Food
I was so happy to find the Kraft Dips ready to go at Walmart. They made preparing for this dinosaur party so much easier.
Along with their new packaging they also came out with new Green Onion Dip and Bacon and Cheddar Dip. I can not wait to try these!
I made herbivore cups by putting the dip in the bottom of the cup then adding carrots and celery. The new Kraft Green Onion Dip would be perfect for these.
I also made carnivore sandwiches. I made the sandwich with ham, cheese, and lettuce. Then used the dinosaur cookie cutter to cut the sandwiches.
My favorite food was the pasta raptor salad. It was made with the french onion dip, squash, zucchini and tomatoes. The Kraft Bacon and Cheddar Dip would make a really good pasta salad too. Just add cooked bacon crumble and cheddar cheese right before serving.
