Carsyn’s favorite thing right now is the Bubble Guppies show on Nick Jr. You know what the means, a Bubble Guppies Birthday Party! Since his birthday is in May, we decided to host it at a park this year. I have to say that was pretty amazing and relaxing. We didn’t have to do a bunch of cleaning before or after the party. We went easy on the decorations which made clean up a breeze. Plus we didn’t have all the extra trash at our house. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day. We set the party to run from 10am till noon. I think that was the ideal time. It wasn’t too hot out and we had a nice breeze. The breeze made it hard to keep the decorations up, but it all worked out.
For Carsyn’s invitations I picked out the Stripes & Dots Invite and customized it to match the party colors. Then added photos of Carsyn in his Bubble Guppies shirt and it was perfect. I also order the Strips & Dots Address Labels and Thank You Cards.
Carsyn’s awesome bib came from Summer Lee Quilts. We have about 10 bibs from her. They are the best quality and the only bib I have found that protects his shirt from getting soaked by his drool.
The Bubble Guppies shirt came from All Tulled Up. Carsyn got a lot of compliments on his shirt. It was definitely a favorite and looked great on him. If you have a girl she sells adorable outfits with tulle skirts.
Most of the decorations you see in the photos came from Walmart. Except for the amazing Bubble Guppies Birthday Chalkboard Sign. That came from Chalk Your Way. She was fabulous to work with and everyone loved to read all about Carsyn.
We went easy on the food this year and just did snacks and cake. I did a small version of the goldfish bar I had at Carsyn’s Pirate Party. We had Color, Pretzel, Strawberry Shortcake and Vanilla Cupcake Goldfish. I bought the silverware, plates and napkins from Walmart. Things always get messy so I brought along Wet-Nap hand wipes. I can not even begin to tell you how many times those came in handy.
The cake was made by my amazing friend Kimberly. Her cakes are awesome looking, but more importantly taste delicious! She used the bubble guppies figurines from the Bubble Guppies Book Play Set from Fun Fab Cake Toppers. I love that we could used them to decorate the cake and now Carsyn will be able to play with them.
I printed out the Happy Birthday Photo Poster from Nick Jr. For games we did Pin The Tail On Gil. Nick Jr. has a ton of free printables for most of their shows. We also had coloring sheets for the kids to color.
For the Party Favors, I bought the Bubble Guppies Cups from Walmart. Then filled with a pencil, bubbles and stickers. The pencil and bubbles both had free printables attached from Nick Jr. The stickers were from Walmart also. Kimberly also made the bubble and dog bone cookies as part of the favors the kids got to take home with them.
