Bing in the Classroom

Do you every worry about what your child is looking at on the computer at school? I do. At home I can monitor exactly which websites Dustyn goes to. In the classroom the teachers are much more busy and can not monitor where every child goes to on the internet. Well there is a solution. Have you heard of the wonderful program Bing in the Classroom? First of all Bing in the Classroom provides ad-free, safe search for schools. . When they search on Bing they will not be distracted by ads present on a regular search engines. It also provides digital literacy lesson plans for teachers.

To me it is a really smart idea to have ad-free searching for kids. Dustyn is in Kindergarten this year and they have computer lab weekly. As far as I know they only do ABC Mouse. Though I am not sure what kind of filters they have on their internet. I plan to talk to his Principal and the computer lab teacher about getting Bing in the Classroom. I think it would really help keep the students focused and would be a safe environment.
