Dustyn is in the third grade this year and the homework has been KILLER. I can not believe the amount he brings home each night. He doesn’t give me a hard time with the math homework but the reading and writing is a nightmare. He loves playing games on his android phone, so I have used it for part of his reward system. I recently learned that Amazon Underground has over 3,000 apps that are 100% FREE when you download it onto your Amazon Fire tablet or Android smartphone. The Amazon Underground gives you access to great apps that normally you would have to pay for in “other” Play and App Stores. We are big fans of Disney in our house so I listed 10 free Disney Apps on Amazon Underground below.
10 Free Disney Apps on Amazon Underground
- Wreck It Ralph
- Where’s My Perry?
- Monsters University
- Nemo’s Reef
- Star Wars Rebels : Recon Mission
- DuckTales Remastered
- Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse
- Toy Story : Smash It
- Big Hero 6 Bot Fight
- Zootopia Crime Files
Amazon Underground offers several more Disney apps available for download. They are also releasing a new Frozen app on September 28th so keep an eye out for that.
Once you have Amazon Underground on your tablet or smartphone you look for the apps that have an “Actually Free” banner across the top. With the free games, the in-app purchases are also free, which is pretty awesome. It is nice to know that Dustyn won’t be spending $100 on an in-app purchase like he accidentally did once before we started using Amazon Underground.
A Few Download Tips:
- Amazon Underground apps & games are available to customers in the United States, UK, Germany, France, Italy and Spain.
- When accessing Amazon Underground apps & games on your Android device, you will be walked/prompted through the “unknown sources” process. To install app stores not initially present on your device, Android devices require you to enable the Unknown Sources setting. Enabling Unknown Sources allows you to download apps and games from sources other than Google Play to your mobile device and any app or game downloaded from Amazon Underground will not harm your device.
- Amazon Underground is generally compatible with all Android phones that run Android version 4.0 or greater.
- Amazon Underground is only supported on 5th Generation (2012 – newer) and newer Fire tablets, and Android phones.
- When accessing Amazon Underground, your device may display a notification indicating that the app will get access to sending SMS messages, and that “this may cost you money.” At this time, SMS verification is only used by the Amazon Appstore in selected regions and is not required if you have an account on Amazon.
Here is a short little clip of Dustyn downloading the Where’s My Perry app and playing it a little bit. Visit here to learn more about the Amazon Appstore, the Amazon Underground catalog of 100% free apps & games or to get access on your Android smartphone or tablet.
