Well yesterday morning at 6:00am I went into the hospital to be induced. If you haven’t read before they were inducing me because my doctor is leaving to go out of town Wednesday through Saturday and her partner will not do a VBAC. Well after 23 hours of being on pitocin and having regular contractions every 2-4 minutes. I had no change in my cervix AT ALL! She gave me two choices to go home and hope that Little Joe stays in my belly until Sunday (she has a feeling that with all the pitocin and no change he will probably stay in there) or I could have a c-section today. Now the other doctor in her practice will not do VBACs, but he also can’t force me to have a C-Section. My doctor told me I could labor at home until I was sure that I was about to have him, then that way I would have the least amount of medical intervention. I am just going to take it easy this week and weekend and pray that I don’t go into labor until Sunday night or after. I am actually kind of excited to experience going into labor on my own. They did another ultrasound Monday morning and he was still only weighing about 7 pounds 5 ounces. I don’t think he is going to grow too big in the next week or so.
Kind of blurry but these were my contractions. I could feel some of them, but they weren’t painful

Hope you're feeling good now, Sarah! Still praying for you!
God has His mighty hands on you and your precious Little Joe. You're in my thoughts and prayers!!! Like you said…rest…take it easy…you're gonna need the rest for next week!!!
So good to hear from you!! God has big plans for your family; but in His time. Praying for you !
Keep us posted!
Thanks everyone!
We were praying for you throughout the day and the girls did at bedtime… we will continue through the week and until little man is here safe. When I was praying with you at church I was only praying for you and Little Man to be safe and stay healthy… sorry i didnt pray for a quick process
but i know God is answering our prayers and keeping that little guy safe.. that is all that matters! I am glad you are at peace with your decision… that is great!! Again, you will be in our constant thoughts and prayers.. please keep us up to date and let me know if you need anything
WOW!! It's just amazing that even after being on pitocin, nothing happened… it's really like it WASN"T time.
Thankful for your dr that is willing to help you deliver Little Joe how you are hoping. Here's to a week of taking it easy!!! And maybe meeting Little Joe next week:)
I'm sorry he wasn't ready but you did such a great thing going home and allowing him to come on his own. You have such a great chance of getting your VBAC because you know what's going on! Just remember, like you said, that they cannot "force" you to get a csection at all. Hang in there!
I'm sorry that it didn't go the way you had planned, but I hope he stays in there til Sat for you. I can't wait to read your birth story! I've never gone into labor on my own either. Well i have contractions my whole last month of pregnancy and they finally induce me when I'm 5cm. THEN when they break the water the baby flies out….so I'm kinda glad that I haven't gone into labor on my own, the baby would fly out after my water broke.
It's getting closer! How exciting!
My mom had to be induced twice with me. They started her pitocin and then nothing happened…so they sent her home. The next day (or maybe two) they had her come back and they induced her again. I guess some of us are just stubborn!
I will be thinking positive thoughts for you!
Praying everything goes smoothly this week for you!
