how i chose this name: my original blog title was sweeter than cupcakes and my tagline was “and i’m enjoying it with six cherries on top”. when my blog started to grow, i shortened it to just “six cherries on top”

since 2008
4. What is the main goal of your blog?
i orginally started my blog as my own personal journal for friends and family to keep updated on our family happenings. slowly my love of photography progressed and i decided to use it as a tool to improve and share my photography. i have enjoyed learning new things and meeting new friends along the way.
5. What do you love to do?
i love photography of course, but i also love to travel with my family, baking, spending time with my children, and learning new things. i crave new knowledge all the time.
6. Do you have kids? If so, how many & how old?
i have six children: mackenzie (12), ryan (11), jacob (8), phoenix (5), tyler (4), and elijah (1)
7. What did you want to be when you grew up? Did you accomplish it?
i spent a lot of time wanting to be famous. i did a lot of stuff that involved being in the spotlight. that of course never happened, but i have always enjoyed photography. i received my first camera when i was in high school, a canon rebel. having children unexpectedly sent me in a new direction. i have been working in early childhood education since 1999. although i am currently a sahm, i want to do something that involves children if i ever return to work.
8. Do you have any pets?
the only pets we currently have are 2 little fish and a hampster named mistletoe.
9. What was the last good book you read?
since i am still finishing up my degree, i don’t have a lot of time to read books of my choosing. however, i do pick up my bible quite often.
10. Recommend some blogs that you love to visit. I always like to find new blogs.

Joni’s blog is a newer blog that I just found. I am loving it though. She has a great variety of pictures, parenthood and crafty stuff. I really enjoy visiting her blog.
