Back To School | Creating A Daily Routine

The last few weeks have been pretty hectic as our family finishes its preparations for the beginning of the school year. We’ve done our back to school shopping, stocked our backpacks, dropped off the classroom supplies, and attended the start of the year meet and greet. Despite some start of school jitters here and there, everyone is really excited! All that’s left is to mentally and physically prepare for the coming weeks. I don’t know about your family, but ours has sort of created its own summertime schedule, with late nights and some lazy days, so part of that physical preparation the last week has been trying to reset our biological clocks back to a school schedule. To help the kids (and myself!) with that, I’ve created a simple morning and evening daily routine chart. Feel free to use this in your own home. I hope it’s as helpful for you as it’s been for us!

Schedules and school supplies aside, one of MY biggest considerations, as we approach the first day of school, is my family’s health, especially at the beginning of flu season coming up fast and the close quarters of the classroom (where not everyone might remember to use hand sanitizer or tissue all of the time). Just like any mother, I want to give my boys the best nutritional boost I can to help them stay healthy throughout the year and I have noticed (especially with picky eaters) that it can really be difficult to pack full and proper nutrition into a small snack and packed lunch. Because of that challenge, I like to supplement their daily nutrition with a multivitamin. I had been thinking about trying some new brands, so when it was time to replenish our supply, this time, we decided to try out Nature Made® KIDS FIRST® Multivitamin Gummies.

We packed ourselves into the van and headed out to Target. I love shopping at Target because everything is usually pretty easy to find and the Nature Made® KIDS FIRST® Multivitamin Gummies were no exception. They were easy to spot in the pharmacy section and Dustyn LOVES them!

Even though it’s already on the schedule I made, he reminds me every day when it’s time for his vitamins, which I think is pretty great.  It means a lot to me to feel that my children are getting the vitamins they need, even when they are going through a peanut-butter-and-jelly-and-nothing-else-will-do! phase.
