About Sarah

Hello, I’m Sarah! Wife, mom, photographer. I meet my husband when I was 14 and he was 16. We didn’t “officially” start dating until I turned 16 because of my dads rules. We started dating November 24, 2001, then we got engaged April 24, 2004 and married July 24, 2004. Can you tell I like the number 24? He he. When we got married we moved about an hour from all of our friends and family. We are still an hour away after 7 years and would love to move closer again.

We enjoyed the first few years of marriage by going four wheeler riding, going to the beach and just hanging out. I was then ready to start a family and we got pregnant with Dustyn after the first month of trying in June of 2007. We found out I was pregnant on July 4th. Dustyn was born via scheduled c-section on February 29th, Leap Day! He weighed 10 pounds 4 ounces, the reason for the c-section. He is my wild, crazy and energetic little boy. He is so sweet to Carsyn, and makes an awesome big brother. Carsyn just adores him and laughs at him all the time. I love it. Right now Dustyn is really into Angry Birds as you can see. He also loves trucks, cars, train, planes, basically anything that moves.

When Dustyn was 18 months I decided I was ready for another and had my IUD removed. I was also able to get pregnant the first month after it was removed, that was August of 2009. Carsyn was born VBAC (vaginal birth after csection) weighing 9 pounds 5 ounces. Everything was going well with him until he stopped meeting his milestones around 9 months. He got early intervention evaluation and they started seeing him. He had an MRI done in April of 2011 and we were told right before his 1st birthday that he had Lobar Holoprosencephaly (which Carter’s diagnosed it as MIHV 9 months after that). The MIHV HPE is causing Cerebral Palsy. Basically his brain is not controlling his muscles like it should. He is in therapy three times a week and making great strides. He is such an amazing blessing.

I couldn’t imagine my life without either of them. They complete me.
