30 Day Shred {Week 1}

Welcome to the very 1st Week of the 30 Day Shred Challenge. I have to give props to Chelsey @ The Paper Mama for encouraging us all to do it by her amazing before & after photos. I also have to give props to Joni @ Six Cherries on Top for this awesome button.

Let me just say that I did the first work out yesterday and was exhausted but energized in the end. My arms and legs were like jello, but I was so happy I made it through the first day. My goal for this week is to do it every day no matter what. We are going to Philly this weekend to take the boys to Monster Jam. I am going to do it Saturday morning before we leave and HOPEFULLY Sunday night when we get home. I was up at 6:30 Wednesday to do it before the boys woke up. If I can continue with this it will be a lot better then trying to do it at night. Then I will start making excuses. ha ha.

Anyone can join us and I hope you will. If you do you will love the end results. I am so excited to see the results. They say you can lose around 10lbs and a dress size. Want to know what to do?

We are all doing before pictures and measurements. For your measurements take a soft measuring tape or some yarn and cut to the sizes then you can use a flat ruler to measure the yarn.

Where to measure?

  • Each arm (thickest part)
  • Each thigh (thickest part)
  • Upper waist (smallest)
  • Lower waist (at your belly button)
  • Your hips (biggest part)
  • Write this info down, or put it in Excel so you can come back to it after 30 days. After we complete the whole 30 days we are going to remeasure and take after photos.

     

    My Before Photo:

    Eeekkk…. don’t look at my pale legs. ha ha. I have lost my weight from Carsyn and Dustyn but I was a little overweight before. My weight just so you know is 165, I started dieting April 23rd at 180lbs. So making progress but I need to tone up. My long term goal is 135.

     

    My Before Measurements:

  • Arms: {L} 12 {R} 12
  • Legs: {L} 24 {R} 24
  • Waist: 35
  • Waist Lower: 42
  • Hips: 45

    Such an excellent idea… I saw someone asking for the DVD for this challenge on freecycle right after reading your post. I don’t have the Jillian workout… but perhaps I’ll do something similar. I need to shed a few pounds.

    I have just finished doing the 30day shred last month but game for doing it again… I love the feeling I get from the work outs… I have lost 8 pounds last month. I know I am a day or two late but I have done the work out… yesterday and today is not over…

  12. That is TOTALLY AWESOME!!!! You are doing so great- that is some serious progress! I really need to get my backside on the right track. Eating better- but need to walk away from the computer & get moving for sure.

    I remember The first time i used this DVD, my legs hurt so much the next day. But defiantly worth it! :)

    I’ve been doing the DVD about every other day for the past 2 weeks and have noticed a definite change in my upper body..if only to get rid of the pouch now!
